Comfort Ministries

At Bethlehem, we share God's love by providing special care to those who are sick or have limited mobility.  Pastor Emily provides pastoral care, taking communion to our Limited Mobility members (formerly, "shut ins") and visiting those who are hospitalized.  But our care ministries extend beyond the pastor, as laypeople take an active role in caring for one another.

Visitor of the Week

Each week, a different volunteer checks up on those members who have been sick, hospitalized, or need a little extra care.  This ministry includes visits, calls, sending cards, and delivering altar flowers.

Called to Care

Bethlehem's Called to Care ministry seeks to maintain connections with our members and friends of the church who can no longer be physically present with us week-to-week.  Our Called to Care members visit folks in their homes, in retirement communities, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes.
