Fellowship Groups and Yearly Events

Bethlehem offers a variety of fellowship opportunities. Below are some examples of groups where you can get to know others and grow in faith together. New members are always welcome!

WEB Ministry - Women Energizing Bethlehem
This women’s ministry consists of women of all ages. We are a friendly group of energetic, inclusive, caring and kind women who meet once a month, right after Sunday worship service. (Usually, the first Sunday of each month in the Fellowship Hall.)  We share a salad lunch beginning with a short devotional.

The WEB ministry:

  • Is a service-oriented group that has service projects which benefit others, especially women in need.
  • Supports one another and the members of our Bethlehem community by building relationships of caring and compassion.
  • Believes the Scottish proverb -“Many hands make light work.”

Eosin Fellowship Group
Fellowship, fun, fundraising, service to our church and community, and food are the components of the Eosin social group. The group typically meets once a month for lunch and plans future events that are designed for community involvement, such as collecting items for the EVSC Clothing Bank, serving dinners at United Caring Shelters, service projects as needs arise, and organizing the Barbeque Dinner and Ice Cream Social to support Habitat for Humanity. Our fundraising events include apple pie making in November and the church-wide Cookie Walk in December. As a group, Eosin provides bereavement dinners for our church families. We are mostly adults in our 60's and older who have been together for many years; however, our group is always open to welcome new members and friends of the church!

ROMEO Group
Retired Old Men Eating Out meet every Tuesday for food, fellowship, and faith. New faces are always welcomed!

Youth Group
Our youth ages 6th-12th grade gather for special events throughout the year.  A favorite is serving at United Caring Service.  We also enjoy art parties, Friendsgiving, Christmas parties, and lock-ins.  The youth group also serve our younger children by helping in Vacation Bible School and with the children's Christmas Market.

Annual Fellowship Opportunities

Pi(e) Day Lunch - On the Sunday prior to 3.14 (March 14), we gather after in the fellowship hall after the worship service for food and fellowship.

Red, White, and Blueberry Brunch - Held at 9:00 a.m. on the Sunday prior to the July 4th, we eat together and may sing a patriotic song or two as well.

Habitat For Humanity Summer Social - In July, Bethlehem hosts a big fundraiser benefitting Habitat For Humanity.  We serve barbecue and our famous homemade ice cream!  There is a silent auction, a cruise-in, and who knows what else this energetic group might add this year! We love supporting this important agency providing affordable housing for worthy families in our community!

Rally Day and Church Picnic - We celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of the Sunday School year with a picnic in the pavilion after worship.

Annual Fish Fry - Bethlehem's Fish Fry is an exciting carryout event that serves hundreds of people in just a few short hours.  The proceeds from this fundraiser go to benefit worthwhile agencies addressing hunger like the Tri-State Food Bank, the Gather Network.

250Cookie Walk - Creativity and determination abound as the bakers and treat makers of Bethlehem make dozens of tasty treats for the annual Cookie Walk, which is held in December. Shoppers fill containers and purchase their goodies by the pound.  Raised funds help support future Eosin ministry projects.

Children and Youth Christmas Program - Though the format changes from year to year, we always make time for our children and youth to share their musical and speaking talents.  The youngest among us lead us in story and song as we remember the true meaning of Christmas together.
